Nach erfolgter Homologierung des neuen Flutlichts stand der Kracher im Pokal gegen den Oberligisten ASC St. Georgen an. St. Georgen an der Tabellenspitze der Oberliga, wir im Mittelfeld der 1. Amateurliga Kreis B. Das sind die nackten Tatsachen. Unsere Mannschaft hat in letzter Zeit eher mäßige Leistungen gebracht, mit Feichter Michael (gelbgesperrt), Abfalterer Stefan (Oberschenkelzerrung) fielen uns zudem auch noch 2 Leistungsträger aus. Wenn wir aber eine Stärke haben, ist es jene eine gut besetzte Bank zu haben, die heute ihr Können unter Beweis stellen konnten.
Um 20 Uhr war Anpfiff. Und so starteten wir unter diesen Voraussetzungen mit einer fast komplett neu formierten Verteidigung, die auf der rechten Seite unseren jungen Spieler Kröll Martin, Innenverteidigung mit Oberbichler Simon und Ploner Michael und auf der linken Aussenbahn Alen Young vorsah. Nicht überraschend versucht der ASC St. Georgen am Anfang schnell über die Seiten das Spiel zu entscheiden. Unsere Jungs überzeugten aber mit starker Laufbereitschaft und Kampf. Unser Trainergespann änderte das Spielsystem auf ein 4-4-2, Gaisler konnte im zentralen Mittelfeld agieren und im Sturm stand von Beginn an Unterberger Gabriel und Oberhollenzer Thean bereit. Die erste Chance in der 6. Minute wo St. Georgen gefällig kombinierte, Bruno aber den Laufweg zustellte und den Angriff zunichte machen konnte.
St. Georgen mit ihrem 4-3-3 war klarerweise spielbestimmend, sicher im Spielaufbau und mit schnellem Kombinationspiel brachten sie unsere Verteidigung immer wieder in Schwierigkeiten. Mit der Fortdauer des Spiels aber stellten wir uns immer besser ein und wussten die Feldüberlegenheit durch hohes agressives Pressing zu unterbinden. Im Angriff mussten wir auf unsere Chancen geduldig warten und es gab derer nicht viele. Mit dieser Agressivität brachten wir St. Georgen etwas aus ihrem Konzept, die es mit schnellen langen Bällen auf die Aussenbahnen versuchten. Aber Kröll und Young machten trotz ihrer wenigen Spielpraxis ihres Sache sehr gut und ließen wenig zu. Und so war in der ersten Hälfte viel Arbeit im Mittelfeld zu verrichten. Auffallend bei uns die kompakte Spielweise, wir stand eng und kurz, wurden Fehler gemacht stand fast immer ein zweiter Mann bereit.
Unverändert bagann die zweite Hälfte, der ASC St. Georgen hatte Anstoß und versuchte nun zu Beginn etwas mehr mit dem Ball am Boden zu spielen. In der 65. Minute die erste gute Chance von Ebenkofler, der sich aber etwas abdrängen lässt und sein Schuß somit nicht richtig plaziert werden konnte. In der zweiten Spielhälfte kamen wir mehr und besser ins Spiel und konnten immer wieder schöne Kombinationen spielen, die aber von der Jergina Abwehr zu nichte gemacht wurden. In der 60. Igsten wechselt Trainer Volgger Young mit Leitner aus. Gleich vorweg, auch Julian machte seine Sache auf der linken Seite sehr gut. St. Georgen wurde nun hektischer, man merkte ihnen an, dass sie das Elfmeterschiessen vermeiden möchten. Es lief aber nicht viel zusammen. In der 62. Brachte Trainer Mair dann auch noch den Mittelfeldmotor Schwingshackl. Gute Chance in der 66. igsten, Unterberger spielt Hofer schön in Tiefe, der direkt in die Mitte wo Oberhollenzer nicht agressiv genug ist und nicht zum Abschluss kommt. In der 70. igsten kommt Von Wenzel für Unterberger, der aber nach 5 Minuten wieder ausgewechselt werden muss, für ihn kam Oberbichler Hannes ins Spiel. Grund eine Zerrung im Oberschenkel, ob er am Sonntag spielen wird können ist zur Zeit fraglich. In der 72. Minuten eine gute Chance durch Hofer, der eine scharfe Flanke setzt und der gegnerische Torhüter knapp vor Oberbichler retten kann. Auch Messner Lukas bekam noch einige Minuten in diesem Schlussabschnitt, er kam für Hofer. In der Schlussphase des Spiel hatten wir St. Georgen gut im Griff, konnten auch immer wieder mit schönen Kombinationen vors Tor kommen, waren aber schlussendlich im Angriff zu harmlos. Und somit endet das Pokalspiel nach toller kämpferischer Mannschaftsleistung.
In den Pokalspielen gibt es keine Verlängerung und es ging direkt ins Elfmeterschiessen.
Es treten Gaisler (verwandelt), Oberbichler Julian (Latte), Simon (verwandelt), Ebenkofler (verwandelt) und den entscheidenen Elfer verschoß Thean Oberhollenzer. Sein Elfer wurde vom Torwart gut gehalten. Bei St. Georgen verschoß Krsic.
FAZIT:
Gute aufopfernde Leistung unserer Mannschaft. Unverständlich, dass wir eine der meist durchlöcherten Abwehr der Liga sind, aber von einem auf dem Papier hoch überlegenem Gegner keine wirkliche Chance zu ließen und zu Null spielten. Am Sonntag kommt Rasen/Antholz, sollten wir dort eine ähnliche kämpferische und aufopfernde Leistung bringen können wir uns auf ein gutes Spiel freuen.
